Robert C. Byrd received a standing ovation in the Senate on Nov. 18th, 2009 for becoming the longest serving person in U.S. history. He was elected to an unprecedented 9th term to the Senate during his last election.
I don’t discuss politics. I won’t say my party or my political beliefs. I am from West Virginia and I do acknowledge that our state Senator has had an achievement, that Senator Reid said is unlikely to be beaten.
