Major media has left West Virginia and national headlines
about the water crisis have disappeared. However, the drinking water concerns
for West Virginia have not dissolved. There
is still an oder with the water. Women who are pregnant have been advised not
to drink the water still. Feds argue that flushing should continue to occur
until the order is gone. Parents are worried about the children returning to
school. They’re sending their kids with bottles of water. W.Va. Gov. Tomblin
said it is your decision to use the water.
What are the long term consequences for drinking the water,
which is not 100% pure of the chemical?
Who knows how harmful this chemical can be? The residents of
W.Va. are like test subjects.
Why is West Virginia overlooked? The media is seems more
focused on the political bridge closure in New Jersey.
Would there be more media if this disaster had happened in
New York City, Washington D.C., Hollywood, or John Boehner’s district in Ohio?
Media: Do the right thing and help keep light on this real
tragedy in W.Va. that has not gone away.
