I have always heard of these big corporations coming into West Virginia to mine coal.
I have even heard of tree-logging companies from other states have attempted to come to West Virginia to log trees in our state.
Even today, I'm aware that major coal company offices and the mine owners are often in other states.
I've always felt that the coal in West Virginia belongs to the state of West Virginia.
I wish West Virginia would have had a person like Ghandi who protested the British salt monopoly in India. Ghandi expressed that the salt in India belonged to the people of India.
